How to effectively Spring Clean

Now that Spring has officially arrived, the time has come to begin Spring cleaning.

65% of people say their home is somewhat dis-organised. If you were to look at all the nooks and crannies, would it be clean?

Decide how long ideally you need to spend in each room, then set a timer so you don’t lose track of time. This is giving yourself an end goal in each room, and it makes it a faster and more efficient way to get the whole house clean.

Start by gathering any loose clothing, wash cloths, pillow cases, throws and other washable items that haven’t been washed in awhile.

Begin with cupboards and any drawers, removing all items and wiping down the space. Begin to organise any items you wish to keep and create a pile for items to be thrown out.

Once this is finished wipe down the exterior of cupboards, shelves, fan blades and light covers, replacing any light globes not working along the way. Dust any wall art and wipe down the walls.

After every room has been completed, remove all rubbish you’ve collected along the way and disinfect the bins. Then vacuum and mop each area as appropriate, if you have carpet consider getting a steam clean or try at an home remedy like below.
